Bățanii Mari – a region between tradition and transformation

László Bocskor shows us the pasture landscape around his village of Bățanii Mari / Nagybacon in Covasna County, Transylvania. In the small village, 60 km north of the city of Brașov, there is an intact dairy cooperative of regional farmers and many shepherds who use their traditional know-how to protect the herds from wild animals. As László Bocskor emphasizes, the continuation of this intact organic farming is also a generational issue and the appreciation of the landscape in a market economy.
