As part of Workpackage 3, on April 3, 2023, students from Babe\u0219-Bolyai University, Faculty of Science and Environmental Engineering from Romania, led by Tibor Hartel, participated in an activity to restore the wood-pasture in Viscri, where :
\n\u2714\ufe0f Oaks were planted and fenced;
\n\u2714\ufe0f The young oaks were released from the bushes.
\nRestoration of tree pastures is important because it increases:
\n\ud83d\udccd Resilience of pastures to climate change;
\n\ud83d\udccd Carbon sequestration capacity of pastures;
\n\ud83d\udccd The natural, cultural and economic value of pastures.
\nThe activity was organized in partnership with the Viscri-Weisskirch Agro-Eco Association.
\n\ufe0f \ufe0f Shrubs, which were going to be cut anyway, were reused to protect young oaks and to provide habitat for different species.<\/p>\n
